Try an analogy before you ask the question. "How would you feel if I...". It's not a magic bullet, and you have to come with it as if you actually care and non combative, but if she's not a narcissist it should defuse her at least a little bit.

I’ve tried that. It works until she switches it back to you doing something in her mind. It’s always different if you do it.

Here is advice from a woman.
1. Start by stating how much you care/love her.

2. Move onto something you both agree with so she is saying yes,…. Like “That you both want a strong relationship and communication is important”

3. Tell her… You trust her so much you are going to be share something that’s bothering you. In the past you would have bottled it up but she is so special you want to keep the relationship strong by addressing issues early. [insert issue here]. How can we resolve it together. (Talk about problem, what creates the issues)

4. Thank her and ask her if there is anything she needs you to change.
