Extra gear with flow and delivery, sometimes lyrically, and that part (lyrically) is where he gets Ball on a track sometimes.

Sometimes it's vice versa though. For example Ball murdered G on Shine and Recline

one of my favorite songs ever from them

Listening to a Ball and G song feels make me feel like a fly in the room listening to them tell stories…

You can’t really go wrong with either but I’m taking Ball.


Ball repped hard for the big fat rappers. Dude didn’t have to trick either.


When it comes to the Fat Boys in Hip Hop, he’s very underrated.

And this isnt shade being thrown… i love this duo more than i do; outkast, ugk, mobb deep, for starters) - their catalogue is prolly some of my fav. 8’s lost album is one of the most consistent southern lp’s period.



But mjg is a beast. I think its his mic presence that does it for me.



When he hops on Meal Ticket.., the world jts a bit. Tectonic plates shift and turtles poke their heads out their shells hella fast to get in on the commotion.



Forever is a personal classic tune… when he does the “oof off” blow on the track… shiit does it for me.

I honestly didn’t know as many people thought MJG was better than 8ball. In no way form or fashion is this a contest and it’s probably one of the more lopsided duos, while also having to good MCs.

That absolutely not true. Eightball is dope AF but MJG ain't no chump either.

MJG is better in terms of flows and rhyme schemes. Lyrically/songwriting wise theyre on the same level. But MJG gets the same treatment Big Boi does compared to Ball and Andre, respectively. People gravitate towards 8Ball more because hes more of a trademark (fat round and black lol). But aint no way nikkas is actually LISTENING to MJ counting him out the way they do smh MJG is a top 5 southern lyricist and he not 5. Only other cats you can probably put over him is Ball, Bun and/or Scarface.
