Discussion: let's talk rules of the Earth

We all go by different rules and obey different cultural practices ..

But I've come to notice ..

Alot of people ,
Black white, out east . or out west .. wherever you're from ..

For the most part we all look at life the same but go about it differently . .

Here is where the thread turns ..

Religion has gotten a lot of people feeling better than others.

Christians thinking they're better than catholics .. or vice versa. everybody feels they're above atleast 1 other group ..


That 1 other group would be satanists..

Now I'm not a practitioner of said religion ..

But anything unknown or interesting .. I do research . .so

My question brehs and brehettes ..

Where and which rule do u NOT agree with

Since the verdict on them is so bad ..

Here is the base of their following . .

Like any other group religion or cult ..

Certain people take things too far ..

This is just the groundwork of what they're supposed to go by ..

1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
9. Do not harm little children.
10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

I mean... absolutism vs relativity is the crux of all philosophical debate of any kind. No matter what you are discussing, it all comes back to this in some way form or other.

Satanist are not absolutist and do not believe in absolute morality, yet they have a 10 commandments-like ruleset for moral behavior that they believe all human beings should folllow.

Its ignorant at best, hypocritical at worst.

I could go into it more but I usually dont talk religion on here

I just like to start convo and hear people prospective without getting upset calling names ..agree to disagree and shyt like that lol ..

Good debates and brain picks .

Do u feel like these rules are something a person who isn't a satanists could follow

And live a full non (demonic) type life that people think ALL satanists live .

Just to be clear, my issue is not with the rules themselves per say.
Every society/cult/religion/organization needs rules that govern them.

As far as rules go, these are... interesting.

But these are not "Rules for Satanist", these are "Rules for every human being that lives on earth"
Once you expand your scope of your moral governance to members outside of your group, you force others to fall under your scope of morality (involuntarily).

But to answer your question, You could follow all of these rules and be a productive member of society. You could even follow all of these rules and not be aware of it.

But destroying people in public might get alittle...

IMO

Theres a huge difference with a religion that believes an absolutism vs one that believes in relative morality.

For example, following the 10 commandments doesn't make you a Christian.
