As a Gen X'er, I know plenty of adults who grew up going to Disney, and they swear it was magical AF. The problem is Disney, today, is significantly more expensive, yet the only thing magical is the visitor's nostalgia. Its otherwise lackluster, yet costs as much as a European or Asian family vacation. I know someone who use to go Disney every year, but when he kids got older, decided to take them to Japan instead. I asked which vacation was cheaper, dude stared off in the distance for about 3 minutes, then regrettably said they cost about the same.
:mjlol: I don't think dude has been back to Disney since.

Now if you have very young kids, I hear the Disney Cruise is :banderas:

Am I the only one that knows about this bullshyt? :why:

They're pretty much stans for Disney and lots of them make their entire personality Disney. Some of them even request to get their Ashes scattered at Disney land/world on a ride which forces teenagers working at the park to clean it up :scust:

I was honestly fine with never knowing these people exist. But here I am. :francis:
Super tragic.

I've known 3 in my life and all of them seemed a bit off. 2 of the 3 had kids really young in life. One went 3-4 times a year. One bought the annual pass and goes every other weekend. The 3rd about 3-4 times a year but also would travel to go to Disney at other countries.

Funny enough one of them I found out was cheating because some dude had a hookup on free tickets to Disney and I came off vacation and saw them posted on her IG. I actually saw it as I'm on the phone with her talking about where we are going to go on vacation. I opened IG to upload some pics and hers hugged up with dude was the first pic that popped up with a caption talking about "her boyfriend". I was like WTF is this. She hit the smooth "oh that's nothing, he just has the hookup on Disney tickets. Don't read anything in to it". That was the end of us.

Oh them cats?
Yeah, they're also the reason Disney is catering more towards having emptier parks at costlier prices, with the price of everything being raised and whatever benefits you had, being nerfed. From 2003-2017 we enjoyed Disney parks as a family on Florida Vacations to America with a pretty Brolic Park/Fastpass system that made you feel like you were getting proper bang for your buck while enjoying the premise.
Then they started catering to said Disney Adults who have no problem paying higher fees for the "experience" Seeing as to how it was mainly just them and not multiple kids all wanting to do/eat/buy everything multiplied.
shyt just made Universal and other neighbouring parks more worthwhile (for the price at that time) and all our 'kids' back then are now grown so the aint' clamoring for Disney anything so we don't fukk with it past the occasional visit if we get it for decent...which has been rare, 'cause Disney prices haven't been decent for a minute for anyone who's been there multiple times.

I imagine the folks who didn’t get to have this experience as a kid, see it as an opportunity to relive their childhood.

I went when I was a kid and it was fun…but it wasn’t that deep. But I guess what I can say is, my cousins and I had parents who cared enough and had the means to plan those activities so that we did enjoy our childhood.

That’s what I think Disney really represents, and that’s why I let these “Disney adults” be. We don’t know people’s backgrounds and experiences. :manny:

I usually don't judge other peoples interests as long as they're not hurting anybody, but fukk that today. These Disney adults rub me the wrong way.

I used to mess with a girl who was a Disney adult, and I figured out why she was. I psychologically profiled her and found out she was adopted as a child, had a kid in high school, and never really had much of a life outside of her kid.....so it makes sense that she wants to BE one through Disney. I had to let her go because shyt got weird.

Another girl i worked with went to Disney land EVERY. SINGLE. FKN. WEEK. She ended up getting a boyfriend who was also a Disney adult.

I've ran into too many of them and I just don't "get" it.
I lived in Tampa for a few years so I know the type.
:snoop:
These Disney families would literally go to Orlando twice a month if not more.
:gucci:
Dont let a new attraction get added. You will be hearing about it for a month plus.
:beli:
These coworkers breeds their kids into Disney adults and the cycle continues. They are starting to crack with these prices shooting up post covid.
:picard:
Disney better watch out. I bet Disney adults make up 33-50% of their revenue. If Disney breaks them, the whole company will get hurt.

I should learn what a Disney Adult is before I post, but I'm already here, so Yeah.
Hopefully it isn't another rabbit hole similar to Brony's and Pegasisters.
:francis:
White folk and children's programming is almost always a problematic thing.
It’s a huge rabbit hole. It’s so interesting though. From a sociological and psychological standpoint , the amount of money Disney makes from these adults is insane. Free advertising for them due to the simple fact of posting on Social Media.

I knew a girl who is a Disney adult. This was in San Diego, the amount she spent (mouse ears and all) was staggering. I’m not a pocket watcher, but take a trip to another country. I never took my kids because; they were to young and won’t remember. They were more happy hanging out of the pool.

It’s forced nostalgia, big money in that
