Plus, if you're into computer games, the Command and Conquer RTS games were an outgrowth of the Dune 2 game. The "Tiberium" harvesters in C&C were based on the Spice harvesters in the Dune game.

I think it's the over enforcing of a female lead down our throats while emasculating men or black men in particular is what poisons these films.

James Cameron and Ridley Scott did the best job and creating female leads. Women are not good at directing female movies because their high emotions and estrogen levels blind them. You can easily create a strong female lead with a great supporting cast. (Terminator and Aliens)
