Sucks but a public company has an obligation to maximize profits for its shareholders:yeshrug:. If it didnt do that there would be no company.
That model of buisness is looking very unsustainable, the buisnesses basically has no real control over itself, no such thing as infinite growth, that's why these companies do stock buy backs instead of reinvesting in themselves

After completing his magnum opus of fusing Disney and Fox together Bob Iger retired and rode off into the sunset.

The situation that Disney (and we face) is so grave that Iger just "Un-retired" and returned to active duty at the head of Disney.

He didn't come back to shift paper around his desk. He wouldn't come back if they anticipated that this would be "over by May", or even June, July, August ...

seems like they're expecting this to last a long time. a lot of analyst said their parks will be closed all year and maybe parts of 2021.

Who’s going to go there? Anything with large groups of people is done.
