TV isn't even like that anymore with streaming. They should have just went for viral moments and memes. Until Dawn got popular being a choice type game and wasn't episodic. So did Detroit Become Human.

Walking dead, batman and wolf among us were and they are popular

I don't think it really matters at all if its episodic or not. I dont think this game made a big wave in the culture so it may benefit this game to build momentum this way

They were still working on those games between releases. This whole thing is clearly done as it's being put out weekly.

They've squandered their buzz. The people playing week 1 will likely be the people playing week 4 and others will sit and wait for it all to be out but almost nobody is glad for 90 minutes of a game per week chopped up over a month.

Only reason I'm considering copping it now is because it's 10% off. When the final ep drops on November 12th, it'll probably be back full price and considered "too new" for a Black Friday sale

Just finished the 2nd episode. I didn't like how they baited you into an action in the first episode and then at the end of the 2nd that happened. I guess tomorrow I'll continue.

I enjoy the episodic release, but what I don’t get is releasing in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. That has to be the absolute worst time for engagement.

This is practically a show, I love the music and art style. The music reminds me of drive, I think I can see some twists coming.

I think the best thing about this is they ripped off the Band-Aid and got rid of all that walking around in a room looking at stuff gameplay. You can even drop QTEs. The only gameplay you need to be bothered with is actual Dispatching which is fine.
