I think because LL was a hip-hop icon and Canibus was the new kid on the block that rap fans wanted LL to win, so they gave him the W when he responded, plus LL's beat was fire, but LL's diss was longer and it still wasn't better than Canibus diss.

Similar to how Machine Gun Kelly wasn't a star and Eminem is a super star, so Em's fans gave Eminem the W, and made MGK switch up his whole style.
