Economics is often taught at the macro level. I took AP Econ and we never touched anything close to personal finances. All I recall out of that class was supply and demand graphs.

The first time I ever heard of supply and demand was Econ101 freshman year in college, I found it interesting and did well in it. I would have remembered it if we learned it in HS.
