yeah definitely man great album! a timeless piece of work

Yeah and that's the objective often when you're creating music/albums, nothing better than when it can be dope in 20 years time etc. It's like the KRS-One vs Chuck D discussion when they discussed microwave music rather than a nutritional alternative. A lot of trash songs and music will come and go but often the best shyt is timeless.

Incredibly dope album, however I kinda got a beef with Damian now, he drops some of the dopest verses I've ever heard on Patience, Friends, and Leaders but then as far as I can tell doesn't drop anything on this level since. Wtf...

Damn this thread got me fukked up. I forgot how hard this shyt went. Man that beginning of Dispear for Damian sound like he conjuring spirits and shyt :pachaha:

"Shaka Zulu, Bobo Shanti, Nyabinghi, man a Mau Mau Warrior, dispear! eh
Fear and desperation, no depression can't tarry ya, dispear! hey
Ayatollah, Idi Amin, Mennelek, yo man a Masai Warrior, dispear! eh
Fear and desperation no depression can't tarry ya, this spear
Like Burning Spear and such and such before me
Who all fought for the cause and, dispear! eh
Enforcing all the laws.."

What happened to Damien after? I haven't heard much at all and I was very much anticipating his next works after this. His Welcome To Jamrock album was great though.

Classic album as far as I'm concerned, don't know why it was so under-promoted. You payola pump a few of these joints on the radio and they'd blow up. Toronto has a huge reggae culture and it still didn't hit the radio hard here. Definitely an industry agenda at work there IMO.

No doubt. Real talk, that's the only reason the joints aren't appreciated how they should be by everyone, if the hype machine was behind it it's a GOAT contender album in people's mind.
