Watch The Throne: A lot of flash, little substance. had a couple hits but in the end not much replay value for me.

Distant Relatives: It sure sounds really good at times, dig the Jamaican/African influence, but some of it felt a bit tacky. I unno, doesn't have a huge lasting impression for me.

Untitled: Very boring musically. Im sure the lyrics are good, but this is music, not just storytelling, politics and cultural discussion.

Yeezus: Album was too divisive. Hardcore hip hop heads couldn't get into it's harsher, more electronic sound. Or get over the fact Ye wasn't trying to be super lyrical and technical with his raps. I think the album was dope though and has some of Ye's best songs. New Slaves is top 10 Kanye songs for me and I feel like a lot of nikkas turned the album off a couple of songs in because if you are not feeling shyt like "I'm In It", something wrong with you. That song is massive. :whew:

This man performed it on SNL....

No kind of fukks given.... Then 2 years later Kendrick performed untitled....

That's what you call influence and impact people..

What was the mainstream hip hop climate like in 2013 when Ye used a subtle album title to remind people that not only is he a God we're Gods..

That's fukking hip hop

Ok I ranked these albums

TPAB
Untitled
WTT
Yeezus
DR

And tbh Tpab musically shyts on all the projects under it(out side of yeezus)

Ok untitled was a really good album, which touched on a a lot of issues in America, but the beats lacked heavy And they certainly have songs that shouldn't be there at all

Watch the throne was really Good musically, but I didn't get deep enough on the issues for me

With Yeezus I felt Like half the album was good and the other half lacked heavy, and some of the beats kinda hurt, even with it being short I never play through the entire project

And DR I never got the hype, first in not a reggae music so half the album didn't give me any type of feeling, the beats weren't great either

Tpab shyts on the them cause the concept is done beautifully With no hippups, it's a big story that relates heavy to the black youth of america(and other races). And the the help and guidance he got on this is album shyts on the others and the attention to detail does also

The concept he pulling off is just much harder because the cohesiveness needed to pull off a entire story and make every piece fit is on another level
