Like some of these people really just see what the crowd says, then they take up the other side just for whatever reasons. Some people always intentionally go against the grain of other black people because they think it makes them smarter or something.

Bingo. Type of dudes who would see everybody running to the emergency exit during a mass shooting and decide to loop around and try to escape through the front door.

"I'll get out where they least expect."

That's not what I took from that. I didn't listen to the clip, only read the text. The way I understood her was that yes she said it was a diversity hire and that ESPN was doing it because they have a poor record for diversity. However, that wasn't to belittle Taylor's qualifications. Nichols' beef was that she didn't want anyone cutting into her own airtime and give Taylor more but not at Nichols' expense. Unless I'm missing something.
So u don't understand an unqualified white hoe saying a Black woman is a diversity hire which basically is saying that Black woman only has her job cause she Black
And that it is unfair to give that Black woman a position because that unqualified cave bytch deserves it more:dead:

People really pretending being called a "diversity hire" isnt an insult? :snoop:

Are some companies forced to hire QUALIFIED minorities..yes! But to have someone at the job call you a diversity hire, insinuating you arent qualified - is a flat out insult. They have no idea what your qualifications are. Do you guys realize how many white people are hooked up with jobs? I cant believe this needs to be explained.

That's what it was and on the tape she says the job they gave Taylor was already in her contract in writing. Why would she lie about that when she didn't even know she was being recorded?

yup...and if I was promoted/hired for diversity purposes...I couldn't care less whether I was qualified of unqualified for the position...i'd take it and smile....besides, white people weren't crying about it when their grand daddies were getting it over my grand daddy..so why should I care now?

Shyt, I've seen white people hired to positions that no one else would have gotten...but somehow they were chosen and they just happen to be friends or related to the manager :sas2:
I know a black woman that manages cvs, she hired her daughter's (who was accepted to nursing at USC out of high school) friend (who doesn't even possess a GED) as assistant manager. She's now collecting a check that somebody who might be more qualified for that shyt should be getting. The black people in this situation, from anything ive heard and anything displayed, are highly self hating.

I can see why some of yall would see it as an advantage, but sometimes there are places that REALLY don't want blacks to be part of their establishment or progress in there business. If they just hire you because you're a black person, they'll treat you just like that. They don't care about your credentials.

Black people are obsessed with being righteous and not being seen as belonging. It's no surprise that hardworking educate black folk would feel insecure or scared about being seen as a diversity hire. I don't get why they fear they're taking a job from a deserving white man for all you know that cac only getting opportunities cause of what his last name is, the game is already rigged. Take the 'W anyway you can get it.

I’m reading through the last few pages of that Rachel Nichols thread, and I can’t believe what I’m reading. Black men (I’m assuming they’re black) calling themselves “diversity hires” and saying Rachel Nichols has a point. They don’t even realize that by calling themselves that, they’re implying white people should automatically be granted the position and they only got it because they’re black. There are SO MANY unqualified white people who have been given positions they don’t deserve, and y’all trying to cape? Not only that, if you feel as though you’re merely a “diversity hire,” why would you want to work at a place like that in the first place? Have some gotdamn self confidence in yourself. shyt’s embarrassing.

This thread had nothing to do with them. I was talking about cats on this very website.

That's the ENTIRE POINT of affirmative action. Ever heard of "networking"? Basically white people giving each other jobs before they have to legally advertise openings.

I don’t know. I’ve been in the company of some black folks who have said similar. Talking about “I don’t want to get hired over a deserving white man” as if their black ass haven’t been passed over for positions by unqualified white people.

Those are not Black posters. Thecoli has a lot of White posters pretending to be Black.
