Usually it takes drastic experiences for a change. Some can self reflect others can’t. I don’t claim it’s simple, but I do realize there is an element of narcissism in it as well if one is not willing to de self reflection.If it was that simple, a lot of therapists and organizations like alcoholics anonymous would be none existent.We see this all around us. From homeless people, folks in prison etc. We can't be naive and act like self correction is common occurrence. I do agree with the premise that people are responsible to get help or work on problems though.
