If a woman wants to leave me, she can leave. She’s just going to cheat anyway. I don’t understand this push to force women to be with, or stay with men they don’t want.
Im not sure why you think people disagree. Remember, this law isn't supposed to keep couples together really (even if thats what red hats think it will do). There's a small 5% or so difference in KY divorce, but it dropped nationwide by 18% anyway. So that 25% isn't all about this change.
This just makes joint custody the default. It doesn't force it to be the outcome, but it does START with joint custody as the baseline, which always made sense. It never should have leaned to one parent over another by default. Makes no sense.
shyt should always be a case by case basis. And not skewed towards the mother or father. And definitely shouldn't be equal time regardless of the situation.
Ironically, you just described this law afaik. Thats exactly what it does.
Default assumption: Joint custody
Changing it from Joint Custody to something else?: Considered on a case by case basis.
Equal time to both parents?: Depends on the situation.
Thats...... That actually makes sense if I am reading this right. Red states and Republicans are morons who are probably doing this to try and fukk with Women, but the broken clock is right twice a day. This should work as a default; because the current system which literally does skew against a father by default certainly makes no sense.
As much as I think this is a good thing (in hopes of people just fukking and having kids, or getting divorced off “vibes” of the internet) the states that are doing it makes it hard to trust it’s actually for the benefit of men…
They are definitely not doing it for the right reasons, even if it can have the effect of bettering the system we have to a small degree. Their intent is malicious. That much we all know.
Has this law been around long enough to show the law is causation not correlation?
No, not yet. The difference in KY versus nationwide is within the margin of error really.
