I’m sorry, but I just don’t believe he ever made a beat. It’s tons of footage of him in the studio doing every single thing except touching a pad. All we have is his word. If he got any solo credits I legit believe someone ghost produced them over him making the beat. I just don’t trust this man when it come to making actual beats. I think he been lying
I think the reality is in the middle. I don't know if I'd go as far as saying the man literally never touched a pad in his life. I mean, I've touched a couple pads and made some not good beats. What I do think, is that he's not making any beats right now. Not in the sense of getting busy on a drum machine or a sampler or anything like that. He definitely stretches the truth about making beats. I wouldn't argue with that one bit.

I'm with @TAYLONDO SAMSWORTHY

I think he probably made some weak beats back in the day here or there, found a hustle, and now he's kind of producer in the boardroom sense, and a lot of it is simply driven by his image and brand. Like, I think the image of Khaled being a producer is a lot of what gets things done. I think he's kind of like the Kim K of producing. He's famous for being famous more than anything, and that allowed him to have access to put projects together, etc.

Someone made a Diddy analogy. I think he's like a less talented Diddy in every aspect, but also very popular due to social media, etc. I agree with the cats saying he's insufferable. I think so too. I've never seen anyone so aggressively average insist how amazing they are.

Also, I always heard he produced Grammy Family, but I don't know :yeshrug: If he did, that's a dope one.

thats always been credited to ye and the white dude Jon Brion, no?…that has the Late Registration era sound all over it…no way Khaled is that nice of beat maker to where he was ghost producing for peak Ye and then all of a sudden fell back once he got more famous

The hate for DJ Khaled is hilarious

I'm convinced people are really angry at genuinely happy people

This.

And people really are mentally ill to even come up with most if this garbage. OP is asking us to believe him, but expect us to believe Khaled is lying. None of the songs posted in the OP have Khaled's name in the credits.

Yet most of the Booth will have you believe that Mel Man and a host of other people they never heard of previously was doing all the work for Dre. This place really is a twilight zone.

Please stop, no one hates Khaled. Come on now. Show me a video of him making a beat.

And the point of the videos are to show him doing everything besides making beats. It’s literally videos titled DJ Khaled makes a beat...and he don’t make a beat

If I'm not mistaken, he had an article in scratch magazine back in the day...

I think he did do some type of beat making and then he expanded into more of a coach...

I'm sure he has people who make the skeleton and he adds layers/breakdowns etc to make it pop..

Breh, there are a lot of producers who don't have footage of them making a beat. We gonna question them too? Besides, its not like Khaled is out here with a huge catalog of beats. He has some credits to his name and he says he knows how to make beats, fully produce songs and even mix.

Yes, most producers considered house hold names definitely have at least one visual example of them making beats or at the very least touching a piece of equipment. I simply think it’s odd that he don’t and believe he can’t make beats. Could I be wrong, of course. But this is what I believe

Those producers are household names because they are produced multiple huge records. Khaled being a household has little to do with production. Khaled has never been a go to producer. Nobody who isn't a student of Hip Hop could even name a song he produced. Khaled is a household name because his vocals are all over the big songs from his albums. He's great at putting together great collaborations.
