He was popping all over in the 90s. Dude had a string of gold/plat albums from '91 to '99.

And he's one of the few actual legit gang affiliated street rappers. So at him being corny. You're probably so used to fake rappers that a real one seems like an oddity.

Supposedly Brian McKnight took offense to AMG cursing around kids, and told him to stop. AMG alludes to it in Quik's Visualism DVD. Peep about 40 seconds in when him and El Debarge are fukking around. 100 bucks says El was high as hell off that yayo in this clip

Matter a fact, I remember watching that Visualism with the commentary on and he said some shyt along the lines of "Don't fukk with that cocaine, that shyt will have you up for days."

they still cool...alot of people dont know..quik met g-one when quik did the arsenio hall show back in the early 90s...his drummer didnt show up..and g-one was backstage he auditioned for quik on the spot and made the show

g learned quiks ways early

quik even kinda talked shyt about g-one.. sayin he didnt credit for the keith murray rkelly song..but fail to realize profile blocked em and g-one ended up gettin the credit
