I might be reading too much into it, but I remember when DJ Quik and Kurupt's collab album 'Blaqkout' came out, Michael Jackson died 2 weeks later and it hit Quik hard as he was meant to open Jackson's shows at the O2 in London.
Now the day after this collab EP with Problem, Prince dies

Problem didn't do what I predicted he would with a lot of these beats,I like him more as a rapper than I liked him on this project if that makes sense
? Quik did his thing though,are these the same beats Kendrick was turning down for the ones he used on TPAB

...That shyt right there is a classic,hopefully we get to hear a lot of nikkas give they spin on that and freestyle over it....nice project,dont know if its gon outdo that YG DJ Mustard whenever that drop though,YG and Mustard got the slight edge as a duo right now....but I'm loving what Quik did here,not sold on the chemistry though with Problem....Problem may be better on modern day shyt instead of the classics,Quik maybe should've got with Game on this instead.
