The year 3030

- favorite song on the album

Some Remixes from the 20th Anniversary re-release:

One of my favorite albums, ever. I play it at least once a month, it still sounds fresh as fukk too....might be my most listened to album. Love to throw it on and just let it play in the background when I'm doing other stuff. A classic in my eyes, personal or otherwise. Pretty dope he's from the Bay too.

Undeniable classic and a relic of times we won't see again. You can't get away with sampling like that today, legally/money wise.

This shyt is theme music. I used to listen to it nearly every day while walking to class, barber shop, etc.

Almighty Garden State
Building Steam With A Grain of Salt is one of my fav songs ever

bought this the 1st month it was out, heard good things and just gave it a shot. spawned alot of careers (Rjd2 among 100 others), still sounds great. some of the best drums ever, its jazz drums but with an insane clarity

Above The Clouds
Absolutely classic album, I own this on Wax and CD. Midnight In A Perfect World is still just :wow: after all this time

This album was lightning in a bottle, Shadow hasn't produced anything even remotely as dope as this since.

Another notable instrumental/sample based album that came out around that time that's in this lane was DJ Cam's - Substances

Rae & Christian-Northern Sulphuric Soul :ohlawd:

DJ Krush's 90 stuff was a nice mix of raw boom bap and sprawling instrumentals
