Whoo kid has always been one of my favorite hip hop personalities

shyt was a perfect storm....it really seems like, if whoo kids stories are proper, hes like the second most important force in the gunit shyt behind 50. And the street security lol Crazy.

And i usually dont even notice or give af about this shyt, but goddamn at the barrage of misspelled words. It was soooo many it stood out, they need to tighten that up. Allow the presentation to match the content

Them Lo Lifes...
Whoo Kid one of the most underrated storytellers..

Even reading in his voice does no justice.

I first got a real glimpse of him during a Howard Stern interview and knew he was a fool with it.

And also :salute: his honesty of not perpetrating being a street nicca.

:mjcry: The good ole days

it truly was...and we took it for granted :snoop:

it's not like today where the INTERNET has just flooded the market with ALL THIS DAMN MUSIC BEING AVAILABLE....its devalued the music

at least the mixtape deejays like Clue...Doo Wop...S&S and others had quality control and only brought you the best or most important to hear....

it made you appreciate the music more ..you had to have it!! :ohlawd:

and it was great to hear the music in it's ORIGINAL FORM leaked before the label tampered with it...or never released it :to:

like DEAD WRONG by B.I.G i remember first hearing that on a Craig G. mixtape..it was amazing...

also the original "On the Real" by Nas which was actually titled CRAB N1GGAZ and featured Cormega and Screwball

mixtapes was like CRACK to me ..... whenever i traveled on the road..i just had to stop and somewhere and go to the nearest hood spot to cop a mixtape

no matter how much my life was in danger :russ:

african bootleggers...trap spots..bodegas....hood convience stores ...ghetto azz mom and pop stores ..flea markets..i was there

mixtapes truly represented the street essence of hip hop...till these LABELS hijacked it ...and now DJ's can't make street money off of mixtapes like Whoo Kid and Clue was doing.....now the mixtape is CORPORATE its' now subsitututed as an "album" with barcodes these days

sad......so much revenue was lost in the streets............as well as good music and creative freedom

Damn this was a dope story.

This part right here really got me...
Connecticut shoot-em-up—I’ve seen everything. I’m so desensitized with violence in parties. If there’s a shootout I don’t even move. I just be like… it’s like the matrix. I could tell who’s running. You gotta understand when you do a G-Unit show, like back in those days before we did concerts and got signed to Eminem and all that crap, I’ve seen it all: shoot-outs, blood, some dead idiot in the back and we still have to do the show. Cause’ if we don’t do the show more people were gonna die. I mean…

Wait, how do people get killed in the back? Was there a money dispute before the show?
Well, before we got to the show, I think it was North Carolina, it was a sold out. 6,000 venue. It was like, beyond hood. Every drug dealer on the planet, every gangster was in there. But I think somebody fought before we got there and they killed the guy in the back. The body is still there, police came. But the promoter is begging the police, like, if they shut this down it’s gonna be worse. ‘Cause I guess the hype for 50 Cent is so bad that they were like, “Yo you shut this down, more people are gonna die.” So they were like, “Let this guy perform, and we’re gonna do the investigation while he goes on.” So literally while we’re performing they’re doing an investigation behind the stage.

That's crazy, like how can someone die in the back and they are just continuing like it's no big deal. Plus Fif told him straight up you will be gone for two years, that sounds so wild man :russ: I would have been like hell no. How you know you gonna blow, plus you was shot 9 times? Too much of a risk for me but whoo kidd stuck in there and I'm hoping he leaks that audio with Puff yelling and arguing with Big. I wonder what that was about when he gave Big a bad deal and stole his bread.

I've said it before, but 50 Truly is a once a lifetime rapper. He does not have fake bone in his body. Doubt we'll see anything like g-unit again.
