Yella as a producer has to be speaking from that point of view or else the statement is kinda wild

Cubes absence was heavily felt throughout

even tho Ren held it down he goes off a lot of the time into questionable shock raps

Production wise it was a step up. But lyrically they became caricatures

It wasn't the most impactful NWA album but it's the one I listen to the most from them and it's my favorite one of theirs too. Cube was definitely missed though.

Pretty much have the same sentiments of everybody else. The production is incredible and substantially better than Straight Outta Compton, and though I love MC Ren, overall lyrically the album is parody status. The violence is so over the top it’s comical.

Hell the 100 miles and running EP feels more cohesive than SOC

Dre really was in his bag during that period.


unfortunately with Cube gone the lyrics got to goofy and cartoonish which is a problem Ren had at times with his rapping.


Cube on that era of Dre production would have been AMAZING
