The NFL is definitely sending a message and not messing around. They could have taken the easy way out and reduced the suspension knowing that there could be a matchup between the Ravens and Steelers to win the division in week 18.
1. DK is an absolute idiot for walking over to the stands. This isn't the NBA where fans are directly behind the bench or on the sidelines when a player is inbounding the ball. He walked over and hit the fan or whatever you want to call that person.
2. He's probably digging a bigger hole if he is alleging the fan called him a racial slur. There are cameras and mics everywhere, and nothing has come out with that. It seems pretty clear IF that is what DK is claiming the man said, that he's just going with the lowest hanging fruit to try and justify what he did.

I'm not sure Metcalf would get signed for anywhere near that amount of money. He's not a bad WR, but he's not been elite in recent seasons. He's very stiff, and a lot of his play depends on his speed and strength, which diminish as you get older.
These are just a list of WR's that are better than DK, and I left off people such as Olave, Evans, etc. as the ones below are the flat out no brainers for more than a few seasons. The list is not ranking the players, but I went division by division. Gave every benefit of the doubt to Metcalf for this list as well.

That's why I put "IF" in multiple times as I haven't seen anything directly from him, but that's how OchoCinco was trying to make it sound.
Regardless, you can't walk over to the stands like that. I actually think if he was just over there and not approaching that fan specifically, and he ended up hitting a fan like that, he may have ended up with just one game, but walking over did him in.
