If Russ takes a smaller deal, that might be the play. Having Metcalf and Pickens on the outside and throwing to them deep suits what Russ still does well.

I still think there’s a non-zero chance Pickens gets traded before the season starts

I wouldn't sign Darnold BUT out of all the teams that are allegedly talking about getting him, the Steelers make the most sense. They actually have a solid o-line, especially compared to the tire fire in Seattle. You need Darnold in a system where he's not being pressured and has a good run game. Steelers have question marks at RB but this is a great RB draft.

He was coming off an achilles and the Jets had horrible offensive coaches. Aaron Rodgers is better than Geno and Russell Wilson. Its not 10 qbs better than ARod. Yall need to stop
