Actually, they don't. Legally they are required to pay child support as long as the mother petitions for it.

And we can make a similar argument about abortion. women have the choice not have the baby in the first place by simply abstaining from sex.

I don't get it.

if a female doesnt want a kid, she can abort it, no questions asked, and a lot of times maybe the man wants the woman to keep it, but ultimately its the womans choice

if the father doesnt want the kid, he has no choice ultimately and its up to the woman and its up to her if she will abort or not, the father has 0% control outside of words (legally) to convince a woman to get an abortion

and this could lead to child support or even jail time

he should of maybe clarified a little more in his post

I understand this, probably more than most, as ive had attempts on me to father a child that I didnt believe wasnt mine, thankfully with my words persuaded her to get an abortion which turned out to be the best thing for both of us

as an adopted child as well people think id have more sympathy but really again i believe every situation is unique
