I thought whoever other than the first pick passed on porzingis would be dumb.. in my mock draft I had him going second. with all the jockeying around happening just prior and in that no 2 slot I thought either Philly or Lakers were smart enough to pick him.

only Phil was brave and smart enough to see the obvious. Even then when he picked him I was smh at fans booing him and melo apparently being discontent with the pick. I said then before porzingis played a game I'd rather build off him than melo and fukk what melo thinks. I think Phil feels the same.

also I want to add I was perplexed when lwo was claiming they had the best young core in the league

Russell actually looked free last night, he wasn't playing like a fan like he does when he's next to Kobe. He'd play like me if I was playing with Kobe and that's the issue of playing next to your idol. Byron Scott is the woat for not at least giving him 30 mins off the bench tho. Randle doesn't deserve this shyt tho but he's mentally strong enough to overcome this. DLO I'm still iffy about it, he might be too light skin and take this hard.

Byron Scott is an awful awful coach. It's mind blowing that he had success in Jersey, everyone was going wild when they let him go and I was like...are you serious? Jason Kidd was basically doing it all and they won in SPITE of Byron.

Some of his moves and his authoritarian like style just doesn't work in this league anymore. Couple that with questionable rotations, no real offensive strategy and terrible minutes management it's remarkable he has been able to coach for this long. I've never heard players give this dude props and show improvement in their games over time.

Russell's confidence was probably shot in November.
