I don't think X's run is forgotten. And this isn't just about hits. When you put into perspective X's six year run, it is still shorter than Jay's. Jay Z has a lot of big records that weren't necessarily runaway hit singles.
If that's the list you go with Jay getting spanked. Lol. Jay got joints but this list isn't it
If they go 10 rounds and the crowd is 35+ he might have a chance..
You didn’t even include the classic!!!!!

Again like Fred said it IS a classic, but the same reason I didn’t include Slippin is because these kinda songs don’t really fit the theme of these versus type battles when he’s got a lot more hype shyt
Slippin is literally my favourite rap song off all time, but am I wrong in thinking in these battles you’re supposed to be using some “hard” or “Hype” shyt? I’m genuinely asking I haven’t watched many of theseHUH??!!! Ok levy that accusation against "how's it going down" but "slippin"?!?
"she got on some fly shyt so i split, and said ima be that seed, that doesn't need much to succeed, strapped with mad greed and a heart that doesn't bleed"
"damn, was it my fault, something i did, to make a father leave his first kid, at 7 doing my first bid"
slippin deserves to be in that battle list, no question

That would probably be one of the best rapper battles for us that grew up during that era.
Dudes basically had a battle on every track they did together in the group, for a whole tour and in real life.
Probably the second best rapper battle that won't happen after you know who![]()
