All respect to X, eagerly awaiting the album, but I have to be that guy again for a minute.

Nas and Jay can keep doing these light and/or out of place collabs, but can't get on a hard track from one of the greats and really go in. I'll never understand.

I think it's the Renegade effect. If they sound like they're trying to out-rap each other, people will start the comparisons. I'm also thinking that's why Nas never rapped with Eminem after saying that line

:francis: When X talked about the album on Drink Champs, he didn’t mention Camel so I’m sure that record was “put together” after he passed away.

:francis: Example 4627272882 of Camel being a dikkriding fakkit that love the attention.

:francis: So if that’s the case we should’ve gotten one last Murder Inc song with Rule and Camel.

:francis: But fukking fakkit ass Swizz Beatz would rather give us more of them whistles and hand claps.

True. Did X say Nas was on there on drink champs?

The Street shyt clips Swizz played at that Just Blaze battle sounded hard. And it was one of the most talked about songs at the LIG listening party when it was just a Nas solo all those years ago, so I doubt that one will be light work

Where does this rumor come from. I keep hearing it

We don’t deal in rumors only facts

One of the only other rappers I thought about was AZ. And I wanted Eminem for a remix for “Daughters,” but he had already expressed that he’s spoken so much about his daughter throughout his career that he had done that subject too much. And me and Jay-Z talked about doing some things, but our schedules were so crazy."

:francis:As much as I should be excited for this album I'm getting some weird vibes:

Wouldn’t Life After Death be a much more accurate comparison? :gucci:

No clue.. could’ve left him on there considering Nas appears on the album twice

its really a lotta reasons not personal

the record was for nas album; as swizz starts the record screamin escobar season returns

maybe kiss had a nas reference and couldnt re-record in time

it could just be some lyrics in general as to why it was cut

its possible kiss was always added as an afterfact; as in swizz did the record w nas and jay in mind then later added kiss

also possible swizz deleted/lost kiss stems

:beli:LAD was damn near complete and did not shoe horned a lot of rappers just to capitalize off of a fallen rapper. :hubie:I know folks are going to blinded by the hype which they should because "DMX", but when you have fukking "Bono" on the album, it comes off as a cash op for a fallen GOAT.

The entire album just screams "capitalizing", instead of a legit X album. You mean to tell me all of these motherfukkers wanted to rock out with X, despite in his days of living he pretty much was just rocking with a selective few like The Lox. I honestly would rather have the album as it should had been, instead of a mash up of rappers that barely gave a damn about Earl when he was begging for soup when he was sick.
