What's your point, how is DMX playing politics?
by saying Drake is good

Last time he was on the show he was saying most rappers today are wack
but then he said that machine gun Kelly was talented, and then they said "so most rappers are wack but machine gun Kelly is good"
to which he responded ya he better than most
but he only said that cuz he had a song out with him

I hear what you're trying to say but i strongly believe dmx switches his opinions based off his emotions and not cause he was bought off etc.
I mean MMG had a deal waiting for him when he came home and he blew it off.
My point is i think if he connects with somebody,he's going to be less prone to shyt on them. I dont think it's based off business

Dudes in here talkin bout he was crying need to really listen to the interview.

X got a asthma condition, his heart stopped for a few minutes till they revived him. Technically he "died" and came back. You must not have any faith at all not to see how that could affect a religious cat like Earl. He's been given a second chance.

If I remember the first interview right, dmx just didn't like Drake's style Or the way he carried himself. He said himself he doesn't listen to other peoples music so I doubt he's even heard much of Drake's catalogue. Sounds like it was more of a personal thing that he changed his mind about since he doesn't even know him like that anyways

was he so much about god before the drugs?
I don't remember....

Is he just into god because he wants god to help him with his addiction?

Nah, he's always been like that.

I remember a way early interview he was saying he knew he was called to be a minister, but he constantly ignored the call.

what got me was when he said he respected drake as a lyricist.

I'm sure X knows drake aint writing chit. and he said it like he didn't even mean it. you can tell he thinks drake's ghostwriters are wack too.

I don't blame X tho. he kept it all the way real from day one, all while he was on top. and all he got for it was a pat on the back. often times, not even that. so yea, he gets a pass for taking what he can. benzino is doing the same thing now too. and I don't blame him. they did all they could. as long as they don't completely sellout like a lot of these other dudes, I cant be mad.

Dope interview, I knew it was only a matter of time before X popped that Henny bottle :russ:

If I was a label head and saw X when he first came up I would have said the same shyt as Puff. It's crazy how marketable and popular he became.

I'd listen to an X album with Swizz, Dre, and Kanye beats and dope features. The fact that X doesn't even know the Dre and Ye beats is coming through shows this album probably ain't dropping.

That's X's problem you have to get with the times in this era. He has a problem with using social media and doesn't listen to other artists especially newer ones to see whose dope and compliments his style. I'd like to see X songs with dudes like Dave East, Meek Mill and A$AP Ferg.

15 kids? X making babies like my grand daddy

:damn:

Oh okay. Good looking for this info. Really hope it wasnt just DMX being politically correct. Drake still a fakkit regardless anyways
Y'all nikkas weirdos forreal :mjlol:
Doesnt mean there couldn't've been a reason for his dislike for him. He even said here that hes not gonna go into why. Couldve been multiple business things behind the scenes. I dont know.

But before he spoke on the convo with Drake i KNEW Drake/40 would say "i grew up on you", typical industry talk. Fake shyt. I can believe the produder did tho, he seems a little more hip-hop esque. Drake? No.
Drake is a hip hop nerd, he's a music nerd in general from a musical family.

He and 40 both are. Drake's knowledge on Southern hip hop specifically Memphis and Houston scenes is top tier. If you seen his Nardwuar interview dude talked about everyone from Curtis Mayfield to Loon.

When he said I grew up on you he's serious he even rapped over The Last Hope beat on his second mixtape.
