This was hot in 2001, and it came close to being what the first 3 DMX albums were, but it just didn't quite hit it. And with every subsequent release he fell further and further from that mark. This was really his last moment as a relevant artist. By the time "Get it On The Floor" came out, he was an after though.

Who We Be was probably the last time X had a hot single. I think "I Miss You" was from the 2003 album right?

I had a fight in lunch period in 6th grade that year over this album

Got in a heated argument when I told kid that Stillmatic was better...then it came to fists

Grand Champ was fire. It was actually a better album than The Great Depression. It also had “Where The Hood At?” And “Get It On The Floor” as singles. Speaking of “I Miss You” I had an Ex that looked just like Faith but thicker(t*ts and ass) around this timeframe. Lol

Naw lol
Most of the lunch table was on his side.
Then again we were 11 year olds and X was the hottest artist at the moment

You were 11 listening to Nas. You were the weirdo. X got the singles and beats. You must've been an old soul.

Those cuts were better than most songs on his 2nd and 3rd album. Underrated album

I wasn’t the biggest Nas fan till then.
A week before the album dropped, they played the Stillmatic intro on the radio and that shyt blew my mind.
I copped the album day 1 and was hooked.
