  • Ask Mayor Pete why he is faking Black people endorsing him.
  • Ask about fed plans to address state voter suppression.
  • Reparations.
  • Ask them what they will do about Black woman being at much higher risk of death from pregnancy.
  • Income inequality.
  • Empployment inequality.
  • Police brutality.

HBCU situation, STD situation, gun violence, why ATL is the only the black metropolis. Local issues.

But if we weren't going for gotchas, the question wouldn't be necessary in the 1st place. Anything to protect the centrist DNC I guess.

Yall expect too much from these commercial spectacles. When the candidates come to your town, ask them these questions and record/take notes if possible.

You can't expect for profit media organizations who are designed by nature to be inoffensive and safe for advertising purposes to help you out.

The only reason they're not propping Trump up again is because stats have come out that he doesn't make as much money as in 2016. Yet people think they're gonna go deep into black issues :russ:

Maybe people are complaining about the profit motive making a sham of everything. :francis:
And it is further disregard for your Black voters. Maybe they don't need them that badly? MSNBC can continue being outraged by everything Trump says and does for ratings. If you address the issues maybe the right answers will come out of undesirable mouths.

Black people are going to have to either accept the fact that neither party gives a damn about us, they just want us to mule around election season and we need to either divest and vote down ballot or keep being suckers.

I find it disrespectful they were in Black people's space, but not one mention of why Black voters should continue to mule for them at the polls.

I don't give a damn about any of these candidates except Marianne Williamson who is the only person with a Black-friendly agenda. I'm not sure about some of y'all, but I'm tired of taking crumbs and waiting patiently in line while everybody gets what they want out this country.

Democrats won't have nobody to blame but themselves if the voting numbers are low next year.

Thread is poo considering all the major players had black events in ATL. :mjlol:

I think we're supposed to be operating under the assumption that didn't happen, that Dems aren't reaching out the black community for policy goals and that the Dem platforms don't benefit the black community.

Thread is garbage

Or you can operate under the assumption that candidates can do both. They should be comfortable making comments in town halls and on the debate stage. If they can't talk about black issues on the national stage, then they're just pandering to locals for votes in exchange for empty promises. No different than before.

Its easy for her to mention HR 40 since HR 40 is not a real tangible concerning the issue black equity in this country
What deliverable tangible do you want Warren to promise? Because if it's not deliverable, it's just virtue signalling, and what would the point of that be?

  • Ask Mayor Pete why he is faking Black people endorsing him.
  • Ask about fed plans to address state voter suppression.
  • Reparations.
  • Ask them what they will do about Black woman being at much higher risk of death from pregnancy.
  • Income inequality.
  • Empployment inequality.
  • Police brutality.
That's actually a good list. I would throw in at least one courts/prisons/justice system question into the debate as well as well as something that addresses the education gap.

I feel like Liz and Booker are the only candidates who have talked about these issues. Maybe Kamala though issue policy isn’t her strength

.

I'm not looking for Warren or any white candidate to promise anything just saying it's easy for her to default to HR 40 because that bill isn't anything tangible concerning REPARATIONS..its a bait and switch type of bill since people will just read the one word reparations in the title but not the actual bill itself

Do you have anything against HR 40 or do you just think it's too easy for a politician to say they support it? Because I really don't think the next step is happening until HR 40 or something like it happens first.
