Do all xbox one games take forever to install?

shyt weird doesn't take long for me but I use external hard drive which is faster.

Yeah an external is faster I heard but you gotta go offline when u install 2k took me like 45 mins. I will never buy another digital game GTA V took me damn near 24 hours no lie

In the Caribbean on that struggle net where a game takes the better half of a week to download. Go make a sandwich or watch a movie and come back to a fully loaded game provided it didn't hit any bullshyt snags like the time I tried installing Shadows of Mordor.
Also if you've an external drive and a mate who has the same game as you, you can copy his file, take it home on your drive, hit download and watch it go from 0 to 100 real quick and play.
within minutes.
Installs on the one take long for me too.

Cause Xbox does it where it installs all the updates and THEN actually downloads the game off the disc.

It's a design bug. Since X1 was supposed to connected at all times, when they removed that feature due to complaints, they left something in the architecture of the system that even if you have the physical disc to install from, it actually will download the game from the server like a digital instead. That's why it takes so long, b/c you aren't really copying from the disc to install, you are downloading on your internet. Couple that with it trying to d/l and install updates while it d/l the game at the same time.
Just select "Go offline" before you insert the game to install and it will install quickly from the disc like normal.
