A 10 page thread wasn't need on this, yes africans in many cases are distinguishable from AA's (skin tone, features) and there's no need to take offence to that being said unless you have subconscious insecurities:mjpls: but there are many outliers hell most of us wouldn't even stand out in any west african country unless we open our mouth.

As a whole, West Africans tend to be darker on avg compared to AA, but a dark/brown skinned brotha from the US would not stand out in West Africa at first glance.

Lol so that’s what it is a flat head? Cause I can spot a Ghanaian also but i couldnt understand why.

There's a whole IG page who posts Black Americans and Africans side by side and you can easilly see how close we are. Can't remember the name. But yeah lots of Black Americans look like Africans, obviously. The thing is that a whole lot of people have a very restritive view of what "African" looks like, people from Botswana will be quite different from people from Senegal, let's not even get into Madagascar and Ethiopia or Morocco. All of that is "African". Iirc Africa is the continent with the highest diversity in features.

Strangely enough, it almost seems like White Americans are more different to Europeans than Black Americans are to Africans.

The only person I met from Botswana looked like an octoroon to me.

I met a lot of people from countries all over the world while working at NYU.

As far as your pic, you mixed it up pretty nice and threw some afrocentric leaning AA women in there to skew it.
We don't have anything to go on but your word on what those young ladies are, nor do we have each facial angle or kid pic to be able to tell what's up.
You got some in side shots and others with frontal face shots, all except a few with natural hair and "afrocentric/caribbean" type jewelry. You not slick my guy.

:mjlol: yes nikka...I guess if you purposely look for blacks who look exactly the same and then ask someone to tell who is who from where....then YES you have made your point lol

Everyone knows what we're talking about when someone says that they look "African"; although we have similar genes/ancestry and features, the mix is different and distinguishable.

Europeans often see themselves different based on ethnicity; Ask Russians and Poles if they can tell each other apart and they will tell you that they can. There is SOME homogeneity within groups of people who sleep or fuk one another. It wasn't too long ago that their ethnic groups were thought of as different races. Many African ethnic groups/tribes etc can tell one group from the next based on their looks. it isn't offensive and it aint that deep.

People are people, black is black we get it,. But let's not pretend that there aren't differences.
