I've always been interested in the evolution of language/etymology/etc

The truth is, there is no proper english. Language has and always will be constantly changing, in 200 years 'english' will be very hard to understand for someone from today. I think its beautiful that there are so many variations of language, and anyone that gets mad cause someone dont speak in the 'proper' way is a lame whose fighting a losing battle anyways.
