I think all this proves is on a basic level we are animals which should be common knowledge, and animals can be real pieces of shyt
...Some animals need to be trained and to have a fear of consequence to be better animals,some humans need religion to be better humans
...sometimes training causes a animal who was well behaved to go ham on a audience full of people at the circus

...think about the animal kingdom and think if you prepared to live that type of free for all life and have your loved ones go through it...it would make weak people stronger or phase them out,so it just depends on whether or not you cool with the idea of survival of the fittest or not....not too many people about that life though.

The normal people were gonna be normal anyway, with their usual degree of fallibility and errors but also with their evolutionarily endowed sense of morality(empathy, reciprocity and fairness).
