Do any Nas and Jay Z fans agree with me on this?

Probably has more to do with what was going on in your life when the albums came out...

there are standouts and bad songs on all of these albums :manny:

Can't put God Son above Stillmatic... There's a time where I thought about it but not anymore

KC and BP3 have become interchangeable for me.. I like both those albums...

Hip Hop is Dead got worse over time for me though.. I think I like Nasir more than it at this point....

Crazy, I agree 100%

Kingdom Come is an album that I enjoyed much more than most, HHID as well, I rode for both of those albums in real time.

I always preferred Godson to Stillmatic, I liked Streets Disciple a hell of a whole lot though it should have been condensed to 1 disc.

One of my favorite things about being Jay and Nas fan is when they kinda make the same song just in their own way, eg.

:stylin:

:ahh:

I think I like the production on GS better and the mental lane he was in. Even the stories about the WU and Big on last real nikka alive was dope. Hollywood and Blunt ashes is my shyt. I remember when people were saying they hated hollywood, I was like really. This shyt jamming

I dont like blueprint 3 at all outside a few tracks so that I can buy. And while Gods son is a great album it ain't got nothing on stillmatic tho. And hip hop is dead is kinda meh. So nah I honestly think thats one of nas weakest albums.

I think you're right. Like I said Stillmatic was ether time and I was in college. I remember being so hype for Ether and then the album came out and was fire, I was so happy for Nas because Jay was HUGE. GS dropped when I was in college too so a lot of the topics he talked about I didnt really relate because I was so young. Now with older parents and having seen more the album hits me harder.

What bout stillmatic and Gods Son? Which do you prefer?

The highs on Stillmatic are more “Epic” but God’s Son is the more mature and superior body of work.

But Stillmatic is a classic of its time. Some of Nas’s all time best performances are on that album while some of his best overall WRITING is on Gods Son

One thing I can say about Stillmatic is that "Blood of slave, heart of a king" line is one of his greatest. That used to me my alarm song on my cd player for like a year, lol.

Good shyt bro. You nailed the above in my opinion. The bolded is dead on. People say LIG is Nas's first mature album, I'm like man listen to God Son. Also, his writing (Get Down :ohlawd:) was next level.
