I used to have a ton of CDs and enjoyed going to the music store to listen and buy. I sold a ton and have maybe 25 now plus some mixes. I do listen to vinyls but not since I had my son, he’s somewhat destructive but I plsn on figuring it out.
Discogs, Ebay, a couple facebook groups and once in a while you find an old school mom n pop shop that will take rarer items off your hands.

I have all my tapes from the 80s on until I went to CDs but only have five in my strong box that hold sentimental value that I do not want to lose. The Fat Boys debut, The Skinny boys debut, Just Ice - Kool and Deadly, Professor Griff debut and The Purple Tape
Bumping this, about to build a vinyl collection up. Starting with the albums I can play front to back, then branch off and discover. Crazy how prices fluctuate...can find one vinyl for 25 then another for 75 despite both being classics lol

I never really stopped copping vinyl. I lost count years ago, of how many records I have. Nothing beats physical media. That's the era I grew up in, so I'm still all about tearing the plastic off and reading the credits and sh*t like that. But collecting vinyl is just one of those lifelong addictions. I don’t think I'll ever stop doing that or diggin'.
