No, they don't and generally shouldn't be. But unfortunately, there's just a lot of hypocritical people out here with insecurities who feel someone with money who "looks like them" needs to say something about things that person can't control. Ironically, these same people would more than likely partake in the gossip, slander, and tar-feathering of the same people who they want to "stand up for them :duck:" Don't cast pearls before swine, brehs.

It's typical, all these arm chair athletes and computer activists expect them to do there dirty work. While 99% of folk are social media activists, when u ask them to put there job on the line for some shyt they like:usure:
It fukking kills me my coli fam. I'm no serious activist at all but I still find time to hit some schools and mentor and I put my checkbook on wax with donations. Not even remotely militant. But all these bytchass people I see on social media shytting on athletes ain't doing shyt in there personal lives. Me Africans, we gotta do better

Yeah this is a good point also. Imagine if Ali said the same thing

It was a different time. This is when social activism was the norm, and everyone was informed. You were involved at an early age then, educated enough and taking a stand was the norm. These people are currently oblivious to it, instead of being hands on at an early age, they are coasted through major aspects of developmental life, coddled and protected (because they are investments) and pushed to chase the money first. You can't expect most of them to change their way of life and thinking that easily. Plus the whole dynamic of "community" has changed.

Was it the norm back then? A lot of people were scared and rightfully so. Ali risked a lot

They don't have to be social activists, but they can't be these totally out of touch puppets that a lot of them have been.
