'Unconditional Love' by itself is an oxymoron. You love someone because of who they are, and how they make you feel by what they do.If unconditional love existed, orphans would not be suffering, since they are children too, just not everyone's child.People wouldn't have bare minimum conditions when looking for a spouse and so forth.Unconditional love can only exist in a universe where humans are born perfect, thus no need on setting conditions for loving someone.Even God doesn't love humans unconditionally, if so the concepts of heaven/hell would not exist.

I don’t think unconditional love exists besides between a mother and her child (father too sometimes), and between god and his children if you’re religious. Everything else requires work to maintain.

Love exists fasho, but it's almost always conditional. For most people, there's some action that even your child could take that could turn that love to hatred.
