I'm trying to write a 5 page paper on struggles black immigrants specifically from the Carribeans face in the United States and the struggles they face that black americans don't. Interested to hear different perspectives other than my own. Will make my paper more interesting and easier to write. Thanks in advance.

Jamaicans, and other groups are so busy trying to get here to get a piece of what we made, and you got white folks owning the resorts and everything of value in your native country and with all your pride and accomplishments y'all don't go back and build any real infrastructure in your alleged native homeland. And just like every other group of foreign black people, I ask how many of y'all were clamoring to run here when we were getting our ass beat in the streets and lynched for looking at white women, or just for being black. So miss me with that.

Although Black Immigrants tend to have more education than their Black American counterparts (especially Nigerians), the degrees that they earn in their native countries aren't always respected, which means they may have to jump through alot of hoops in order to work in their field of study.

Benefit is being around more black people. Disadvantage is that you are more vulnerable to racist white people.

Disadvantage is that your on an island so many conveniences that you will have on the mainland doesnt exist there or if it does its very limited.

Jobs for one where I used to be is a pain in the ass to get. You got an island full of people with only a few jobs to go around.
