I don't know why my fellow AA/black americans like to play this game. Its embarrassing really
People of Caribbean descent ARE NOT OUR PEOPLE. Just as simple as that. Let them "separate" themselves all they want
My anger wants to say you're right, but, me being honest with myself, and growing up all around them, I can't say what you're saying is totally true. That's why its hard for me to not deal with them on that level. Just like there are people like 88m3, there were others who weren't like him, and understand the difference. I wish it was an open & shut case, but every time I think it is, I'm reminded its not. I keep asking if we all grew up in the same environment, and had the same experiences, how are we so different? I understand our families history are somewhat different but, I'm referring to now, and as recent as the 80's. I don't think they should deny their history, and we shouldn't either, but what about the people who came up together, and aren't on the separation shyt. How do we treat them? The only thing that separates us is the music, and the food, and that is sometimes. Most of the time we are doing the same things,and go through the same experiences.
I view it the same as me being from nyc, and going to the south. Yeah, we were different, and they let me know it sometimes but, for the most part we were the same. It was just us nyc people who kept trying to make themselves seem so different, and act like they were better, and that's where the issues came from as far as the south, and nyc. I got along well with everybody because I wasn't on that separation shyt, I just appreciated the differences.

While u was getting lynched we were occupied by colonists doing the same thing. No black people were being allowed to emigrate either obviously... Stop assuming everyone else had it easy

damn near every Caribbean breh I know who is college educated, either has a degree in engineering or some type of accounting / business background because they actually plan on owning property or various businesses.
