Do Black Americans pool resources like other groups?

We used to. After before reconstruction we had many black towns and businesses.

Integration ruined all that and allowed sabotage from outsiders. It stripped our wealth.

Now there is so much distrust amongst us that black people actively avoid black businesses or try and tear them down. It’s terrible.

That’s why I like to see black Americans claiming FBA or Freedmen or ADOs. That’s the start of delineating and hopefully getting on code.

People benefit more from being lower income than middle class if they have kids.

Not really, no.

The numbers do add up, but them benefits can be cut off at anytime. Not to mention you can't move to a nicer area with access to better schools, public services, food stores, etc.

A black couple living under the same household and pooling resources solves a lot of our problems. It removes a lot of us out of poverty and into the middle class giving us access to safer environments, food, better schools, and community services. $45k/yr is scrapping the barrel, but combine that with a spouse who makes $45k and you're catapulted into the middle class.
Interesting but I'm not sure if combined incomes to $80k is considered middle class. However, it can provide some flexibility if they play their cards right.

Y’all still ignore the consequences on living under this system

Y’all a very impatient when it comes to black people, this shyt is a process

Im not sure what youre aaying and how it pertains to the question. I'm not ignoring anything.

Want a safer neighborhood?
Want better schools?
Want better grocery stores?
Want better community services?

Combined income gives you access to those things.

Aka household income among blacks
Aka black marriage rates
Aka average income among black men and women

Again... you're just regurgitating the same discussions with a different thread title and your smart-dumb takes, but hey.. it could have been a PAWG thread.

All these are different discussions…. You don’t even have to be married or related to pool resources

The average household income in white America is $76k. Asian household is $84k.

$80k is much better than $40k in the hood.

Yep and this happens alot it's just folks don't think about it like that. Nor do they advertise it if they are smart.

You're speaking to the gmb crowd here in tlr though so not surprised at the hostile reaction.

I don't want to make an assumption and rather hear it from the horse's mouth :hubie:

Then go outside and have actual conversations with actual black people, perhaps? :yeshrug:

Just on the basis of simple logic you're not making sense. You don't even know if any one person that responded in this thread is an actual Black person, so no, hearing whatever from the horse's mouth wasn't the reason for you creating this thread. :martin:

Even when we can’t stand each other, my wife and I make so much money combined that we both agree we would be dumb to leave each other unless there was a MAJOR issue in our relationship. When looking at stats, we are considered upper middle class but still, individually, it would be hard. It sucks because we try to get our family and friends to see their situations differently but it just doesn’t resonate with most of them for some reason.

Black people have to stop thinking in terms of $ amount and start thinking about producing products and owning. That's how you keep your family above water. There's so many traps with just having money. Everybody is looking to take it from you. But if you produce and own what you are selling then you don't have to worry about the money. Black people have to get back to working together and producing products that people want. And don't sell what you have created for the bag because the bag will always get larger and larger so there's no point in selling.
