Do black barbers only use clippers? Or do they use scissors too?

I ask because I want to know if I was discriminated against.

I needed to get a haircut at lunch. I'm at a new job so I didn't know where to go. I walked a few blocks down the street from my work and saw a nice sign and a good looking storefront so I went in. Instantly 2 dudes give me and a girl sitting down

I asked if I could get a haircut and the dude said "how do you like it, cause we only do clippers in here." I told him I needed scissors too and left.

By the way I was wearing a suit (maybe they just didn't want a suit wearing dude in there, it smelled like trees)

Was I discriminated against or is this true? I'm dead serious and not trolling. I do not know.

it probably depends. Not all black barbers know how to cut a white persons hair. I know my old barbershop had at least 12 barbers or so, but only about 2 or 3 knew how to cut white guys so they got all the white guys that came into the shop.
