I don't think so. But Black men can be very sexist. I think people often confuse the two.

i don't even believe BM are sexist in the proper sense. if BM truly felt women were inferior and needed to be controlled, we wouldn't have a community lead by women. BM would feel the need to coddle, protect and control BW, instead of being content with this matriarchal bubble we exist in.

Black cis male ego patriarchy is problematic and perpetuates misogynoir

Couldn't type that shyt without laughing. Black women want to be white feminists so bad:mjlol:

Dont forget our toxic masculinity is oppressing cisgender LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ with our patriarchal male ego as well.

How do black men socially oppress black women? Explain.
By our actions and attitudes that come at the expense of black women. That is part of our privilege, as black men. Black women have to deal with sexism, and racism. This is called intersectionality.

Good point. But I think it has more to do with a means to make a change more so than a desire. I'm pretty sure most men would love to be running things but there is no way (in their mind) to make that happen on a mass level.

Sexism as it exists today in black America isn't even oppression. Black women are treated better by society than black men and give more than they deserve.

Sexism is a double edged sword by itself and when we add race to the equation it gets further complicated. I believe Black men and women have equally been stigmatized, fetishized and traumatized in regards to White peoples concept of sexuality and gender roles......If that makes sense. Black men have to watch out for being labeled sexual predators on the prow or thugs/brutes and Black women have to watch out for being labeled as ghetto good time girls or angry "bytches".
