& This is why I don't see the point of discussing issues that revolve around Black Women with Black Men,it's literally pointless. Our issues can only be seen as issues if Black Men agree they are issues. If they don't agree that the claimed issue is an issue, then what is there to be discussed? Nothing. It literally goes like this:

Black Woman: list A,B,& C reasons she has with the black community
Black Man: Has rebuttal, doesn't agree with A,B,C

:what: Then what is there to discuss? There is no solution if there is no problem.
Drink bleach you stupid bedwenching hoe

Why should I? They want that dude. They don't want me. So I'm suppose to give a shyt about a group of women who don't give a fukk about me. FOH! Let's quit the excuses. Black women's relationship problems are their OWN fault. They want a pretty boy or athlete despite the baggage that comes with them. So lay in the fukking bed you made black women and stop bytching, and you black women apologists need to quit enabling them and acting like damn simps. fukk them and their "woe is me, black men oppress us" BULLshyt!
Thats a whole other discussion for another thread.

A discussion doesn't have to end with everyone in agreement. The issues I see still don't prove bm oppress bw
So like I said, there is nothing to be discussed then. You don't agree with what Black women said on how Black Men oppress them. We can only discuss solutions to issues if you as Black men agree that they are issues.&That's what Black Women need to realize. It's literally like explaining to White people that racism exist. Some White people are not trying to hear that. You give them A,B,& C & if they don't agree that the said issues are issues, then there is nothing to be discussed.

Yes some blk men do oppress blk women. And some blk women oppress blk men.

Also you don't have to be in a dominant position of power to have privilege or oppress someone.

But none of us are going to be real about any of this shyt because blk people don't take accountability for ANYTHING. And some of ya'll are too bitter to ever get a handle on what it might mean to live as the opposite sex in this society so let's call the whole thing off.

Moreover lonliness has made too many people in our community jaded victims who want to punish and blame each other for everything. It's hard to discuss shyt in this atmosphere.

Here's LSA opinions:

Yes, black men oppress black women. The constant attacks on black women's hair, skin, appearance etc. The crime and violence in the communities. The crime and violence in the household. It is undeniable.

Society in general is fukking tired of all these deranged, disillusioned, fatherless ninjas dropping their issues off on black women, white men, the damn man in the moon, etc.

Black women ain't taking the nonsense anymore, and I say good for them. I'm not saying all black men are shytty....but too many are this way.

Before I get the "well whose raising these men..." let me just say it ain't ME. I have nothing to do with these folks growing up, hating themselves, their communities, their blackness, black women etc. MOST black women have nothing to do with it. No matter how crappy your childhood was YOU as an ADULT must take responsibility for YOURSELF, YOUR ISSUES, and YOUR personal happiness.

The good news is sisters are standing up for themselves. To add to this non-black men are starting to call these deranged black men the fukkbois that they are...

Yes they do.

Sadly, Pro-Blackness has become a movement to benefit the men only. And black men and boys have a hard freaking time grasping something so damn simple that not being inclusive of black women's issues as women is not being pro black.

Think about the hyper-masculine culture in our community or the Machismo culture in Hispanic communities. It exists and anyone who wants to ignore that is not a freedom fighter. We are not men's property yet we are still treated as such and told to shut up and cape for pro-black men causes.

I had to do an in depth paper about the relationships of Black women & men, and essentially how historically black (U.S.) movements didn't really black women's interests at heart.

I can't remember the names of these 3 specific women now w/o opening my paper, but these 3 black female activists the same thing during the Black panther era: That black men just wanted the same institutional power that white men had in America/The West and when/if Black people became the majority; it was never going to be Black men and women working in harmony. We, as women, have to have our own movement separate from them. Because it was always going to be in the interest of Black men first. (Which we did.)

But most importantly, Black people had to stop acting like Africa was 100% perfect, equal, and this ~heavenly~ fault free place. Because the same patriarchal institutions exist there as well as here (U.S.)

There is a difference between bashing black men and discussing patriarchy. This thread is the latter, some of those threads are the former. Some of the fonts in this thread acknowledge that straight white males benefit THE most from our societal structure but that does not mean we cannot have a fruitful discussion on the impacts of patriarchy in our community.

Additionally discussing patriarchy, particularly black male patriarchy, is not a novel concept. Granted the conversation is more accessible to the masses given the rise of the internet and increased literacy, but it is by no means "new." As another font mentioned, one of the chief criticisms of the CRM (both during the period and after) is that the principal focus was on male leaders despite the fact that women, particularly black women, played a large part on both the ground and leadership level. Or even criticisms of the club movement, when black women began to form organizations during the late 19th and early 20th century. They gained much of their legitimacy and credibility by subscribing to the patriarchal notions of womanhood (dressing modestly so as not to arouse men and invite sexual assault, being faith oriented, getting married and having children, uplifting "lesser" women).

You may not agree with the conversation but it has been ongoing.

I agree there are issues I said I don't think it qualifies as oppression. We can talk about and address those issues without labeling it something it's not

that's what I'm saying. We can't have an honest discussion cause it's too many fukk nikkas and bytches that don't really care about black people as a whole throwing in a bunch of divisive bullshyt
