You’re on to something. nikka’s get roasted and move on.

I knew a cat from South Carolina who got clowned by a lightskinned nikka saying Homie was so Black he was Burple He said the nikka put his fingers into water and made grape gatorade. ( we were training in Camp Shelby MS and we drank purple drank)

I dated a fly ass darkskinned Nigerian chick in High school shorty was so Black she would shine in the dark when some light came through.

She had super high self esteem

Another FBA chick was too good to date me. She wanted to a model and I could see her being one.

"Colorism" "Featurism" "Texturism" all the isms are mainly just black women mocking other black women and black men for their "black features". I've been saying this.

I know y'all going to say the internet isn't real life. I've heard and called more people out for their c00ning. At least amongst more left-leaning, and professional black folks thre are fewer anti-black jokes.

Had a dude I knew in HS who was dark skinned like that. We all clowned each other. Made our skin thicker. No coddling just clowning.

Colorism is a form of Beauty standard, and beauty standards/trends in general are always the business of all women. Women know that in this world, women are primarily judged by their physical appearance and valued for their good looks or ignored because of their unfortunate looks. Men are also more visual and carnally minded than women. Their sexual attraction is driven more by facial aesthetics, youth, physical beauty and signs of fertility.

As an older breh of the deepest hue, I don't pay the complaints of women any mind. I know how they played the game when I was younger. Yes men do face colorism, but we have to handle it differently.
It took a while to come to the appreciation of my skin tone. One of the reasons why I don't have any tattoos is because I don't want to ruin it.

Our social behavior as humans has always had us judge women on physical desirability and men on resource attainment.

Obviously, women will internalize hatred/mocking/bullying of their God given looks more personally than men do.

Men can physically climb themselves to a high a value. Earn more, be likable, acquire resources. That’s why hideous goblins we see daily in entertainment can bag cream of the crop women.

Women don’t have that ability. Some are born very beautiful/desirable with all the traits that society worships so they don’t have to do more than exist to attract high value male attention. Others are not, so they will always be working at a disadvantage in that market.

This is why dark skinned women have to be extremely attractive to get even half the attention of a light skinned woman.

Do you think a dark skinned woman could enter the industry with a face like Cardi B and take over? With fashion houses rushing to dress her? With popular male entertainers begging to date her? One evening marrying her and proudly showing her off? Cardi’s mug was sitting well below average when she hit the scene and that didn’t stop her.

You’ll never see that with a dark skinned woman because desirability is imperative for women’s success in a visual market and unfortunately this culture sees it as stain. Still.
