Pan Africanism
Of course, you do. You speak his language, get taught in his schools, go by their curriculum, follow their laws, and embrace their entertainment.
True, but I've been studying Pan-Africanism the last couple of years and my 'programming' has went away kind of. I don't even believe what the mainstream media tells me anymore. Also, I've been studying 'oligarchy' too.

Simple example the English language connotations for the words Black and White

Black - dark, dangerous, evil

white - pure, clean,
That is such a dumb smart nikka thing to say breh. Thats the same for every language. Its not negative because its black but with its association with the night, scary shyt happens at night and thats why it has negative association.

I've thought extensively about this... The short answer is yes. You might not think like your name is Cody, but it's still ingrained colonized thinking. Study a non-romantic or germanic language (English, Spanish, French pretty much any colonial language) and you'll see how different the language shapes their worldview, how intimate the language could be with their culture, etc.

Good topic OP.

Yeah and English is language made up of an amalgamation of other languages. Also I heard the original anglo-saxons were so called black people not just them but the original inhabitants of Europe from books like Nature Knows no Color line, as well as I, believe in one of Tariq's HC series, were he mentioned Beethoven I think or something.

Actually a good question. But brehs taking your topic lightley. Language shapes your thinking. A lot of racial idioms in the english language .

:russ:

A lot of the English language spoken in the USA is not even English. A lot of the words are from the native people; Africans; Spanish and French.

It's not our language. We didn't invent it or the defenitions for its words. Are we thinking with a white mind? Are our domes Bleached?:damn:

Well French, Spanish, German, Dutch and Portuguese are not our languages either, but why aren't those languages considered thinking like Whites? :jbhmm:

Why do they speak European languages in Africa if Africans are not White? :jbhmm:

What's funny is that in some threads about Africa is that anglo-speaking brehs call french-speaking Africans "ccons" because they (we) speak french, obviously not realizing that english is as much a colonial language as french.

Anyways, yes obviously the language you speak frames your culture and how you view the world. Anyone who has read a couple of books about linguistics know that, as well as anyone who speaks multiple languages. That being said, language is a tool, so once you're aware of the way it shapes your mind you can fight against that, especially by exploring other languages and seeing how languaes are interconnected, thus going against the idea of your own language being "unique".

For example modern english is basically a germanic language with tons of french influence, and french itself has tons of influence from latin (obviously), greek, arabic, etc. Once you look into how languages are built you can't seriously believe in any concept of "exceptionalism".

But then you'll always have a George Bush saying that there is no french word for "entrepreneur", even though...that's a french word adopted by english :mjlol:

Perhaps most ironical, and surely controversial is the fact despite the painful and destructive period of French &Belgian colonialism(that persists modern-day)one could arguably place French in a nouvelle classe, having been ostensibly usurped given the predominance of Francophone Africa.
