Just don't have the person doing your hair star the braids from the hairline or your edges at least a 1cm and make sure your braids are finely done but loose otherwise you'll be looking like Naomi Campbell.

Moisturise your hair with natural oils and shampoo and condition your hair every week.

Don't go to the hairdressers just find an old black lady that will do it for free - save you a fortune.

Males suffer hair loss regardless of age so if you are young enough to have this option don't hesitate. :mjcry:

No. You either have shytty family hair genetics or you don’t. Mainly everyone in my family has low hairlines including my grandfathers( 1 of which had long natural hair for his life before he locked it up, twist, braids etc..)But my dad has a receding hairline and I was born with a fat forehead. Your lucky or unlucky.

I think it's genetics :manny:

every 2.5-3 months.

anybody want to chime in on people who get a half inch of their lineup cut? does that actually save your line?:pachaha:

the hair is only actively pulling at your scalp for about a week after a retwist before new growth sets in, if that causes your hairline to recede then it was gonna happen anyway

It's called traction alopecia, but it's much harder for that to happen with braids unless you are consistently and routinely in them and that shyt isn't properly done.

You see this mostly with those tight gymnast ponytails because it's a consistently pulling of every single hair follicle.
