Of course too many of us are dark skinned as well as light. You can have a whole with an array of colors, some of my nieces and nephews have red hair, my daughter's hair is red tinged and she's brown

I wouldn't get that impression from Tina Knowles. I read the first part of her book, it sounded like a black experience growing up. There was no separation of being creole vs black in there

Most Creole people I've met in my life identified as being black. Now there a documentary floating out there on YouTube from back in the day showing light skinned creoles being discriminatory towards dark skinned creoles.
