As KRS said, DJing is by far the easiest element of hip hop to master. All you ever had to do to DJ is play records and just know what records to play and when to play them.

Pfft. It is easier to write a bunch of fukking rhymes than it is to successfully dj a set, smh. That isn't including juggling or scratching either.

And anyone who asks if DJs do anything anymore makes me wonder 1) where they live and 2) wtf kind of hip hop shows they go to

I've before. It's not hard at all. And I don't know how to do anything special and the crowd was happy.

So you think because you were a human ipod at a friends BBQ that DJing is easy? :mjlol:

You weren't blending records, you weren't scratching, you weren't transitioning...so you weren't DJing. You were an ipod my dood.

Y'all post this same shyt every few months

The answer is yes......we still DJ. Get off the internet and go to a club, a festival, somewhere.....we still exist. Some better than others. You just have to check for it.....

I should've been specific. I meant the (popular) guys like dj drama, Khaled, etc. what do they do to get the recognition that they get.

Everyone has different lanes.....Drama/Clue got famous from the mixtape exclusive lane (which is no longer popping due to the internet).....Khaled/Drama are glorified A&Rs who release records but also have a personality to do radio & TV....That's why they're famous.

You still have DJs like A-Trak and Jazzy Jeff who are turntablist who go around killing clubs, festivals and stadiums.......Djing is more popular than ever now. Unfortunately technology has made it so you have a lot of frauds and these EDM cats who are basically producers and not DJs are making millions but the art of DJing still exists, mostly on your local level tho.
