So you think because you were a human ipod at a friends BBQ that DJing is easy? :mjlol:

You weren't blending records, you weren't scratching, you weren't transitioning...so you weren't DJing. You were an ipod my dood.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
they have midi controllers that behave like turntables these days :yeshrug:

at the end of the day, if the party is pumpin and you can control the vibe, you doin it right
The ONLY controller that behaves like a turntable is the. NS7 and NS72 which are beasts for controllers..motorized platters with real vinyl on the top...

As KRS said, DJing is by far the easiest element of hip hop to master. All you ever had to do to DJ is play records and just know what records to play and when to play them.

dj'n is the hardest element to master.
on top of being the one pillar.
where you have to have natural skill.
as well, as an understanding of key elements to even do it from the very first needle drop.
it is not like the other pillars, where you can study and get better by application.
you have to have some type of natural inclination to DJ.
it is still the only natural element left in the culture.

the name of the real culturally associated DJ was erroneously changed in rap to turntablist.
when, that is wrong as well.
the fact real hiphop dj's had to be forced to be renamed.
so, someone with no cultural connection and no real applicable hiphop skill coudl get acclaim.
is still one of the biggest travesties to the culture.

I've before. It's not hard at all. And I don't know how to do anything special and the crowd was happy.

did you just spin some records?
or did, you really know how to beat juggle, blend, transistion, etc.

that is just spinning some records.
that is not being a DJ in a cultural context of what a DJ really is in hiphop.
Which, is why fake wack dj's with no skill need to be eliminated.
part of the problem with the culture is the fake DJ.
who really creates a pop based no culture no skill arena.
instead of making a draw that makes the consumer respect the elements and culture.

this reminds me of someone telling me dancing was more important than making music

I hit them with the, "if you dont make music than what you gonna dance to?"

Djing is basic, even when you write out your little moves "I transform bro, I scratch and beat juggle dude"

Thats what people are doing when they actually create music from the ground up

none of that shyt is hard at all thats why you have always had so many DJs and 60% youve never seen

a good DJ will kill a club but the whole point of going to the club is to leave the club

this is almost like saying sampling guitar in fruity loops is just as special as playing a real guitar
you're pouring jelly on yourself

Son I rap..DJ..and I produce music..ALL of em have their own difficulties in different ways..people who always write shyt off as "simple" are the ones who don't even do shyt..
