dj'n is the hardest element to master.
on top of being the one pillar.
where you have to have natural skill.
as well, as an understanding of key elements to even do it from the very first needle drop.
it is not like the other pillars, where you can study and get better by application.
you have to have some type of natural inclination to DJ.
it is still the only natural element left in the culture.

the name of the real culturally associated DJ was erroneously changed in rap to turntablist.
when, that is wrong as well.
the fact real hiphop dj's had to be forced to be renamed.
so, someone with no cultural connection and no real applicable hiphop skill coudl get acclaim.
is still one of the biggest travesties to the culture.

And the sad part is not her, it's those who do not see themselves in her and in what you just described above.

Man these nikkas got serato now. It'll fix your playlist to match the bpm of the next song.

I went to this little hole in the wall bar in Atl. Dude was mixing and scratching all the 90s hip hop. Grown crowd only. That shyt was packed and people were sweating it out on the dance floor. Everyone having a great time.

That shyt was :wow:
:upsetfavre: serato dont beat match It will give you the bpm but you still need to know ur shyt, it replaced the vinyls it does have gadgets to help

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I love scenes like that. Serato changed the game, definitely a good look for things like that, but still w/ the vinyl. Only a number of DJ's still lug crates around, I think it'll be a lost art eventually having to adjust the speed of the record to match and all that.
Nah u can still adjust the speed of the record urself with serato...just don't use the sync button...which ALOT of those push button DJs get bashed for..u don't ever have to touch the sync button tho..yea seratos biggest benefit is not having to lug crates around to every set..just bring ur tables and still use them and a mixer..but just throw the songs on the decks thru Serato..best of both worlds..

Im all for blending and a little scratching but i absolutely cannot stand that rewind shyt that people over use now. It fukks up the flow every time.
Oh yea definitely..but if u get someone who can blend and scratch seemlessly..and cue up certain peoples favorite pieces of the song to keep repeating just to get the crowd hype that shyt is official..

nikkas really think people at a club/party give a fukk about how u transition from record to record? :mjlol:
Yes they do..even you to prolly..u just haven't had the displeasure of hearing someone fukk it up bad yet...or experience the difference between a magnificent set and a terrible one...even subconsciously u will feel the difference..

nah they don't... because they won't really notice it if a good DJ is on.
In a club, the focus should be on the club itself. The music helps, but if you're trying to do too much or having shytty transitions (or pauses in between songs ) then basically, you might need to do some other shyt.

There was a chick DJ'ing at a club I was invited too, and she literally had people like wtf. i seen some dudes just play whatever the fukk they want (common DJ mistake) and muthafukkas literally walked out the club or if it was a stripclub, the chicks stopped dancing
